The Ohana House and Retreat Center

A view of the Ohana House and Retreat Center.

The Ohana House consists of five handcrafted island huts, constructed in Bali, dismantled, and then shipped to our farm on the big island of Hawaii and painstakingly reconstructed. The island huts are fabricated with exotic hardwoods and cedar. Ironwood shakes that form their roofs seem effortlessly suspended in a vented, double-tiered architectural wonder that is as beautiful as it is practical. Each hut has its own redwood deck that faces the ocean and the sunrise. Covered walkways connect your hut to an open beamed main house with 16-foot ceilings and polished, pacific-island hardwood floors. A beautiful kitchen, daybeds, lofts and eclectic furnishings create a cozy aura in the main house. River rocks and cedar adorn double headed rainwater showers in the master baths. Connected to the main house is a large meeting room (perfect for seminars and group study, aerobics, yoga or a bunch of kids in sleeping bags) with lots of windows and polished hard wood floors. The entire structure is over 3000 square feet including four baths. We also have recently added an outdoor grilling hut to make gatherings more fun!
