This two story cottage is simple yet well-crafted with hand-painted floors and lots of glass. The Mango House is perched on the 1950′s lava flow and located on the same 11 acre organic farm as Your Hawaiian Retreat and the Avocado Tree House. The upstairs is one large living area with a king bed loft and a hand-made queen bed from Bali. A sofa futon converts into an extra bed when needed. The downstairs is one big kitchen with a dining table for six. Your kitchen is stocked with organic breakfast fixins; eggs, whole grain bread, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and all condiments. This is a great place for the adventurous as the coast is moments away. Quaint Pahoa town, six miles away, has many good eateries, natural food store, grocery store, churches and farmers markets. Located just 25 miles south of Hilo, home of our major airport and the University of Hawaii. We grow our own (vegetables), milk the goats and feed the chickens… life on the farm is good. Come see for yourself. Only the young at heart are welcome.
